Synectics (n.):
involves drawing connections between seemingly unrelated phenomenon, and seeking new ways to subvert one’s own traditional ways of thinking by applying personification and different types of analogies and metaphors. [Meant to evoke] the “Hedonistic Response” — the excitement that comes with hitting upon a valid intuition.
Essentially what’s going down is this: by using, balloons, party streamers, artist tape, and other media not usually common with traditional street art, D. Billy is creating a new movement within the Street Art scene that engages desensitized passers-by for as long as his works hold. Awesome.
